Methods of Capture.
Fishing float on the drop or just beneath the surface, can be quite
successful for catching Orfe. Generally it is possible to see the fish
approach so therefore it can be quite interesting to watch as it
approaches the maggot, castor or worm fished on light tackle. A few
floating castors can often stimulate the fish into feeding.
The Ide on the other hand, being predatory, is fished for mainly with
small dead-baits, artificial flies and small lures such as spinners
although using a crystal canal waggler on shallow streams and rivers
with large white and red maggots, casters or meat baits, work well.
